The Hurley BBQ Team will be smoking and preparing Valentine’s Dinners for pick up or delivery on Saturday, February 17th. Main dish options include spaghetti with smoked meatballs or smoked chicken alfredo. Each meal comes with green beans, homemade cheesy garlic bread, and apple dump cake. Meals are $10 each with the option for delivery at a small charge. Payment is due when the order is placed. All orders are due by Wednesday, February 7th. Help support our new teams by purchasing meals for your families or business! Contact a BBQ Team member, Mr. Appletoft, Mrs. M&M, or the front office to order meals!

FFA will be selling flower-grams, candy-grams, and Crush soda-grams for Valentine's day. There are many options that can be purchased for delivery on Valentine's Day. Each member has a goal to sell three items (to the same or to separate people). They can be sent to students, teachers, staff, or taken home to family members. If you would like to purchase one, please ask an FFA member or visit the front office in person. Cash and check are accepted. Money is due when the order is placed. Hurley Archery competed in their first tournament of the season at Galena Saturday, January 6th. Results: Hurley Middle School Team placed 3rd with a score of 2629. Hurley Elementary placed 1st with a score of 2599. Individual Elementary awards: Blakley Lewis 2nd place with a 235, Stockton LeForce 2nd place with a 248, Cameron Van Otterloo 1st place with a 257 and the top score for Hurley Archery. Eighteen Hurley Archers recorded a score qualifying them for the state tournament. Next tournament is at Hurley, Saturday, January 13th. Congratulations to all Archers.

The Hurley High School Cheerleaders are hosting a Kid’s Clinic! It is open to students Pre-K through 5th grade. Kids will practice from 3:45-6:00 pm on Thursday, January 18. They will perform with the cheerleaders during halftime of the boys basketball game on Monday, January 22. Cost is $15 cash and includes a t-shirt, bow and snack.
