Here are the results from the SAR tournament from Saturday. Hurley Middle School Team: 1st Place with a team score of 1174 and Hurley Elementary Team: 1st Place with a team score of 544. Individual Achievements: Kortnie Wilson received 1st place for middle school females, Kynzlie Wilson received 1st place for elementary females, and Franklin Lawrence received 2nd place for elementary males. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the shooters for their outstanding performances! Our next tournament will take place on Tuesday, October 15th, at Hurley, starting at 5 PM. Hurley FFA members attended Career Exploration Day at the MU Research Center in Mt. Vernon. They learned about a variety of careers and research projects in agriculture. Topics included grafting tomato plants, trapping and wildlife management, forestry, veterinarian medicine, horses, growing elderberries, black walnut production, at home poultry production, and many more. At one station students were able to assist in cutting up a live chicken and learning the parts of a carcass. #HurleyTigerUp

Reminder: Tomorrow we are celebrating Grandparents Day September 20th, 2:30-3:30. Pre-K through 6th grade students will be participating. Kindergarten-6th grade students will be performing in the multi-purpose gym before returning to their classrooms to complete different activities with their grandparents. Pre-K grandparents can go straight to the Pre-K building.
