High School Announcements (Grades 9-12)
Principal Note for High Schoolers: As we head into the week, we want to remind you that EOC testing will begin in a little over two weeks. Teachers continue to work hard to prepare your students. Remind your child/ren to stay focused and take advantage of the availability of classroom teachers. There is a lot going on before then so thank you for staying connected and supporting your student’s learning. As always, feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

FFA
2025-2026 FFA Officer Applications are now available, if interested see Ms. Hance on how to apply, these are due April 22nd. Your leadership page in your record book needs to be updated before your interview.
End of Year Trip on May 10th, this is for the top 15 students on the points chart, see Ms. Hance to see if you qualify for this trip.
There are a couple of field trip opportunities for members to acquire points for a chance to earn a spot for the End of Year Trip.

Jr. High Announcements (Grades 7th & 8th)
Principal Note for Jr. High: As we head into the week, we want to remind you that MAP testing will begin for 7th and continue for 8th grade students. Please encourage your child to get a good night’s rest and arrive to school on time. Thank you for staying connected and supporting your student’s learning. As always, feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Teacher announcements for Jr. High Core Subjects:
7th grade ELA (Knight): 7th grade will continue MAP review and begin our Guided by a Cause Unit.
7th grade Reading (Lumpkin): 7th grade will continue with their book study over “Divergent.” As students read, they will engage with chapter comprehension questions, explore unfamiliar vocabulary, and complete assessments at the end of each chapter to reinforce their understanding.
7th grade Math (Conlee): Seventh grade students will be reviewing for state MAP testing on Tuesday and then take the MAP test.
7th grade Science (Hampton): Our seventh grade class will be finishing biomes and starting into a new unit over the environment of our world.
7th grade Social Studies (Donnell): Students are learning about Australia, along with culture and history.
8th grade ELA (Knight): 8th grade will continue MAP review and continue working on their Value of Work Unit.
8th grade Reading (Lumpkin): This week, 8th grade will be MAP testing in ELA.
8th grade Math (Conlee): Students will be MAP testing in ELA which will conflict with 8th grade math.
8th grade Science (Hampton): Our eighth grade students finished their science map testing and did a wonderful job. We will begin this next week in our study of waves and electromagnetic light.
8th grade Social Studies (Donnell): Students will continue learning about the United States Constitution.
