High School Announcements (Grades 9-12)
Principal Note for High Schoolers: As we approach the final three weeks of the school year, we kindly ask for your support in encouraging your child to stay focused and finish strong. With finals approaching, end-of-year projects underway, and a busy schedule of activities, maintaining engagement with academics and consistent attendance is more important than ever. Please help reinforce the importance of staying on top of assignments, preparing for exams, and being present each day. Together, we can ensure your child has a successful finish to the year!
Counselor Note for High Schoolers: The December ACT is quickly coming up. It will be Saturday December 14. Please make sure if you have not already uploaded a picture that you do that on Friday as soon as possible. Keep it up Tigers!
Club Announcements:
FFA
Butter Braid orders will be delivered to the school on December 11th, Ms. Hance will be available after school until 5 for pick up. Reminder, these need to be kept frozen until ready to bake them.
State Officer Visit is on December 13th, this will take place during 7th Hour, this visit is only for Ag 1 and chapter officers.
SW District Greenhand Conference is on January 8th, this is for Ag 1 students only. Official Dress is required to attend this event. See Ms. Hance for a permission slip.
FFA members, be thinking about which contest you would like to compete in this year, contest season is just around the corner. See Ms. Hance for more information on contests.
Teacher announcements for High School courses:
English 1,2,3, and 4: Each English class will have their last unit test the first or second week of December (English 1 and 2 testing on Dec 6th, English 3 and 4 testing on Dec 13). We will begin prep for our final exams this coming week and will test on the 17th and 18th. I am available for tutoring on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Algebra 1,2 and Geometry will have Evaluate testing Friday. I will be available for tutoring on Tuesday. All finals will be given on Dec. 17th and 18th.
I am very proud of the Science students as we move through final instruction and start preparing for our Finals at the end of the semester. I will be giving all classes a study guide to prepare them for the Finals. Thank you
Jr. High Announcements (Grades 7th & 8th)

Counselor Note for Jr. High: We just had our second to last Burrell session this past Wednesday. We are hoping to have another Burrell session on December 19th. Keep up the good work, Tigers!
Teacher announcements for Jr. High Core Subjects:
7th grade ELA (Knight): 7th grade students will finish their Informative Essays and take our final unit test of the semester.
7th grade Reading (Lumpkin): Seventh grade students will learn how to analyze the elements of a drama and compare a script to its performance.Students will also begin studying for the final exam.
7th grade Math (Conlee): Students will continue working with linear expressions. Finals will be the last week of school for the semester. Mrs. Conlee has tutoring on Tuesday and Wednesday after school until 4:45pm or by appointment.
7th grade Science (Hampton): Students did an awesome job on their DNA unit and we culminated the unit by building their own DNA models. I will be giving the students an important study guide as finals approach.
7th grade Social Studies (Donnell): Students will begin a new unit on Africa learning the background and geography.
8th grade ELA (Knight): 8th Grade students will be turning in their Informative Essay and beginning to study for the final exam.
8th grade Reading (Lumpkin): Eighth grade students will be learning how to analyze an autobiography and explain the author’s purpose. Students will also begin studying for the final exam.
8th grade Math (Conlee): Students will continue working with linear equations. Finals will be the last week of school for the semester. Mrs. Conlee has tutoring on Tuesday and Wednesday after school until 4:45pm or by appointment.
8th grade Science (Hampton): Students are doing an awesome job with chemical reactions and learning to balance chemical equations. I will be giving the students a study guide that will help them prepare for finals.
8th grade Social Studies (Donnell): Students will be learning about Africa covering its background and geography.
