High School Announcements  (Grades 9-12)

Counselor Note for High Schoolers: If you are interested in taking the ACT in December, please see Mr. Slater so I can get you a fee waiver.

Teacher announcements for Jr. High Core Subjects: 

7th grade ELA (Knight): 7th Grade will continue their Risk and Exploration unit and prepare for the Unit Summative Assessment.

7th grade Reading (Lumpkin):

7th grade Math (Conlee): We will continue our working with integers this week. By the end of the week students should be able to add and subtract integers without a calculator. Tutoring options this week are Tuesday and Thursday after school until 4:45. 

7th grade Science (Hampton):  What a great time of the year to study cells as we see cellular processes around us like the changing of leaf colors.  Our 7th Science class is continuing to look at cell organelles and their functions.  Our test on cells is coming soon!!!

7th grade Social Studies (Donnell): Students learning about Central/Middle America, history and the different countries.

8th grade ELA (Knight): 8th Grade will continue their Approaching Adulthood unit, paying specific focus to the terms used in academic argumentative writing. 

8th grade Reading (Lumpkin):

8th grade Math (Conlee): We will begin our Geometry unit by working with transformation on a coordinate plane. Tutoring options this week are Tuesday and Thursday after school until 4:45. 

8th grade Science (Hampton):  We are taking our past knowledge on atomic structure and working on periodic table trends.  We are also learning about how the elements affect our world we live in. 

8th grade Social Studies (Donnell): This week students are learning countries and history of Central/Middle America.
